Hello, happy Sunday, and welcome to my weekly Substack 🙌 The photo above is from my bike ride last night. We’ve been getting great weather in SF and with nice clear skies I’ve had some truly amazing bike rides. We live just a few minutes from the ocean and the water was absolutely mesmerizing last night.
It’s another warm night and I’m actually sitting outside on our roof deck, BBQing some ribs, and writing, as I do on Sunday night. While it has been a tough year in so many ways, I’m really enjoying my bike rides, loving our local coffee shop Sightglass that is continuing to make amazing coffee (just serving it outdoors now), and soaking up all the beauty of San Francisco.
I’m a big believer that all of us have control over how the experiences we have in our lives impact us. There’s no shortage of negative things you can focus on, all day, every day. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve tried to find more ways to shut out the negative and stay focused on the positive. Every single day is a gift, why waste it?
Okay, enough mushy mumbo jumbo from me, let’s get to the good stuff. This week I announced a brand new award I’ll be giving out, The Best In Domaining.
I think there are so many amazing and innovative things being done in the domain name world by both companies and people that deserve to be celebrated. I’m really excited to kick off my first award.
This week also marks my most-read post of the year. I’m still trying to figure out where the heck it got syndicated but this post about a site called RemoteOk.io that’s making $65,000/mo got a ton of traffic, it’s an interesting one so definitely worth a read!
Okay, well I have a habit of burning ribs and I’m going to try to not take my eye off the ball (er, grill) this time around so without further ado, fresh from the blog, please see this week’s articles below:
